ABOUT THE CURRENT CAMPAIGN AGAINST HOMEOPATHY

          Etrangement, 60 % des "consultations" de ce blog proviennent de lecteurs francophones des USA ... j'en suis le premier étonné et met donc, à leur intention et celle de leurs amis et connaissances non francophones, un texte en anglais. Happy new year to all. Et à bientôt. 

        Homeopathy is attacked and over criticised these last months with a violence never seen. This situation concerns many countries, in all Europe and Australia. It seems to be a attempt to destroy any legitimity and any credibility of that « alternative medecine » as if « some » (who ? Why ? and How can they acced so easily to all the medias ?) wanted homeopathy to no longer be in the médical field, as if they wanted also, the citizens of these countries to no longer have possibilities to consult médical doctors who practice homeopathy.

        After a few months of controversy and indictment of homeopathy over the presumed insufficiency of clinical trials in its favor, it will not be bad to make a small return "on earth" and to make dreamers and naive lose the illusions that they have on the evaluation of therapeutics.           

       For example, Dr. Richard Horton, editor-in-chief of the prestigious journal The Lancet, writes in 2015: "There are many things in medical science literature, perhaps half, that are simply wrong. Afflicted by studies involving only a small sampling, minimal effects, invalid laboratory tests and flagrant conflicts of interest, with, in addition, the obsessive pursuit of fashionable trends, science has taken the lead. path of darkness. "This is in contrast to the usual claim and tenacious tendency of biomedicine advocates to give rigorous lessons to complementary therapies.           

       Dr. Maria Angell, a long-time doctor and chief editor of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), another of the world's most prestigious medical journals, is driving the point. "It is simply not possible to believe much of the results of the published clinical research, nor to rely on the judgment of reliable physicians or authoritative medical recommendations. This conclusion does not please me and it is a conclusion that I reached slowly, after two decades as chief editor of the New England Journal of Medicine ".         And let's come to a French testimonial. Professor Philippe Even, Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics, former Dean of Necker Medical School, now retired. He is author, with Professor Bernard Debré, a "Guide of 4.000 useful drugs, useless or dangerous".

       Regarding clinical trials, his point is simple: "There are two situations: either the molecule is effective and moderately dangerous, so the clinical trial runs without a hitch and nobody will have anything to complain about. 10. But 9 times out of 10, the molecule is mediocre, inefficient or even dangerous, incase the clinical trial is falsified from A to Z. Nobody can then open the test files which are its industrial property. For me, clinical trials have no reliability, and I have read over 500 in recent years! That's why all these cascade scandals: Bayer's Statine, Viox, Mediator, Diane 35, the Dépakine which one is realizing that it is a real catastrophe ... ".           

       Having treated the world of the therapeutic evaluation of pharmaceutical "mafia", he returned to the Order of Doctors for "contemptuous and defamatory remarks" against these confreres. It should be noted that the accusers of complementary medicine who treat the doctors who practice charlatans and endanger the lives of their patients have not been punished for their "scornful and defamatory remarks". Depending on whether you will be powerful or miserable said the other ...           All this to show that the accusers of homeopathy use its alleged non-evaluation to make believe and maintain the idea that the effectiveness of therapeutic ique would, conversely, very rigorously established. We see thaht ihis is pure imagination ... alas. We see that it is not the evaluation of homeopathythat is so problematic. In fact, it is the whole therapeutic system of evaluation that present two major defects:

          - the first is to be corrupted by financial interests and gigantic economics stakes (for the record, 1.500 billions euros per year in turnover of the global pharmaceutical industry with very rapid growth of extra).

          - the second, to be an evaluation in all artificial, laboratory with, after, drugs put on the market for massive use in "real life". With all the disappointments that ensue regularly. The therapeutic evaluation, in aword, is about to be reconsidered at all. But, hush, do not say it ... that's what the anti-homeopathic hubbub of these last months aims to hide and prevent fromseeing.

Tout ceci est très exact et le silence des attaquants est assourdissants quand on le smets en face des insuffisance, des légèretés, des biaises des évaluations des médicaments .

Les fondements théoriques sur lesquels est censée reposer l'homéopathie sont incompatibles avec les théories matérialistes sur lesquelles reposent l'EBM telle qu'elle s'est développées pour encadrer les essais cliniques randomisés en double aveugle.. Selon moi, d'un point de vue Popperien (de Karl Popper ), l'homéopathie n'a pas à être évaluée dans un cadre théorique qui n'est pas le sien. C'est une grave erreur epistémologique et personne n'a l'air de s'en soucier. Il faudrait revenir aux fondements théoriques de l'épistémologie. Même si on tient absolument à évaluer l'homéopathie dans le cadre de l'EBM, il faut tenir compte du fait que l'homéopathie relève d'abord d'un collogue singulier entre un patient particulier et un médecin qui va donner un traitement unique. l'ECR n'est pas du tout adapté. à l'homéopathie (et à d'autres thérapies concernées) d'inventer un nouveau mode d'évaluation , à le justifier et à le défendre. Je défend cette idée que le cadre théorique est inadapté et pour affirmer cela, je me fais incendier régulièrement par des médecins et scientifiques ignares en épistémologie mais je continuerai à l'affirmer car c'est la vérité. je n'ai aucun lien d'intérêt avec l'homéopathie ou avec quelques thérapie que ce soit , je défend une évaluation adaptée et je déplore le vide intellectuel sidéral derrière cette polémique. Il faut dire que Boiron l'a bien mérité, en ayant réduit l'homéopathie à des granules industriels rentables vendus à tous comme des médicaments OTC. En faisant cela, il a détruit l'âme, l'idée qui était derrière l'homeépathie. Pour moi, il s'agit d'abord d'une prise en charge individualisée, d'une écoute particulière, d'une vision particulière de l'homme, de son corps dans son environnement, et les polémistes actuels refusent d'aller sur ce terrain, refusent l'idée même d'effet placebo considérant que c'est pas pas "honnête" de donner sciemment un placebo à un patient, c'est dire le niveau de malhonnêteté

Tout à fait intéressant. Cela ne peut qu’inciter à l’humilité et à la réflexion et donne du grain à moudre sur les expérimentations sur les médicaments quels qu’ils soient. Pas étonnée de l’interet des anglophones.. c’est idem pour mes publications.
